iPhone 5S vs iPhone 5C
Apple is still in the competition of the smartphones with the latest Android phones by releasing a smartphone or tablet every year. But this time Apple is going to launch its two new smartphones iPhone5S and iPhone 5C. This time Apple changed its strategy by releasing budget phone iPhone 5C along with high end iPhone 5S.
iPhone 5C specs
iPhone 5C is relatively an another form of its predecessor iPhone 5. The phone comes with a colourful poly-carbonate finish which is used in some of the Samsung, HTC, LG, Nokia phones. The device sports Apple A6 chipset(ARM V7) with dual core Swift processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and 1 GB RAM DDR2. The device comes in stock with latest iOS 7 update. With the retina display on its side the 8 MP camera is good as usual with 1080p video recording @30 fps. Also the triple core graphics of iPhone 5C makes rendering and display quality excellent.
iPhone 5S specs
iPhone 5S on the other hand once again showing off with its beautiful build quality by the aluminum unibody design. iPhone 5S packs latest Apple A7 chipset(ARM V8) with dual core Cyclone processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and 1GB DDR3 RAM for the best multitasking experience. The device inherits some of its design from its predecessor iPhone 5. Also iPhone 5S has 8MP camera with dual LED flash and uses quad core graphics technology. It is also capable of recording 1080p videos @30 fps. Taking security to next level the device equipped with Fingerprint scanner which uses touch-ID for privacy and protection.
Conclusion
Although they both size up evenly with their 8-megapixel iSight cameras, the iPhone 5s benefits from newer hardware gear – it has a larger f2.2 aperture lens, dual-LED flash, and larger sized pixels at 1.5µm thanks to 15% bigger image sensor. Even in the build quality iPhone 5S is better than iPhone 5C. Latest A7 processors with latest iOS 7 makes the best phone in the market.
With the increasing competition from the side of Android Apple has implemented a lot of changes in its latest iOS 7. But still the drawbacks are,
• Heavily iTunes dependent for uploading files and multimedia
• Segregated file system means you often have to duplicate files to access them through various applications
• No widgets
• Air Drop works only between selected iOS 7 or later running devices
• No lockscreen shortcuts (besides those in Control Center)
• Very basic camera UI with limited features and settings
• Limited video codec support for the built-in player
• No Smart dialing in the dialpad
