The Microsoft's phone based operating system Windows phone 8 is becoming popular day by day but due to hierarchy of Android and iOS its growth is suppresed. After acquiring the Finnish franchise Nokia Microsoft is now looking forward to increase its growth in Windows 8 development.
Recently Microsoft offered a deal to the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC to run Windows on its existing Android devices. Windows may be included as secondary OS for the device. This way a user can have a choice to use both the operating systems on a single device without even purchase any other device.
HTC's last Windows based phone is HTC 8XT. HTC is one of the manufacturers which manufactures both Android and Windows devices. But it has involved only in Android devices because of its rapid development.
Its the right time for Microsoft to offer a deal like this as the Taiwanese company is running with losses and sues from Nokia. While HTC is looking forward to improve its sales, Microsoft also wants to increase its share.
If HTC accepts the deal then it could be a beginning of new era in smartphone history to run both the operating systems on a single device. So far HTC HD2(Leo) is the only device managed to run both Android and Windows.
